Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow.”

One of my all-time favorite movies is The Wizard of Oz. I mean
seriously, right? Magical World, catchy tune…Go ahead and sing it. I’ll wait. Follow the yellow
brick road … We shall sing that song all day long today. You’re welcome.
Red fancy shoes, cute dog & a witch. Which rhymes with .
Interesting. There are so many parallelisms with the real world we live in.
I likey.

My favorite character? The Cowardly Lion. Poor baby.

“What makes you a coward?” asked Dorothy, looking at the great beast in wonder, for he was as big
as a small horse.

“It’s a mystery,” replied the Lion. “I suppose I was born that way. All the other animals in the
forest naturally expect me to be brave, for the Lion is everywhere thought to be the King of
Beasts. I learned that if I roared very loudly every living thing was frightened and got out of my
way. Whenever I’ve met a man I’ve been awfully scared; but I just roared at him, and he has always
run away as fast as he could go.” See
there? #Parallelisms

“Do you think Oz could give me courage?” asked the Cowardly Lion.

Spoiler Alert… And Yes. Indeed, Mr. Cowardly Lion was granted his Courage and a Crown was placed
upon his head. Why? Remember, I question everything. Therefore I know who I am. #Roar And who I am
not. #RoarAgain

Crowns represent royalty and worn by a monarch as a symbol of authority, usually made of or
decorated with precious metals and jewels. Basically they are pretty. More importantly they
symbolize leadership. Guess what? It takes great courage to be a Nobel leader.

Think About-

If courage is representative of great strength, leadership, and nobility symbolizing the crown then
by ALL means Darlin’ wear your invisible crown! Wear it daily.

Or hell, wear it loud and proud. #BAM

Courage is a mindset. We all have fear. Or shall I say fears…as in plural, more than one. The goal?
Never let ‘em see ya sweat pretty Mama. Not because you’re fake and not genuine.

Sidebar- Our Tribe ain’t fake. But rather Classy. Confident.

Have you ever heard the phrase? Fake it, til ya make it. Of course you have. Silly question. Again,
it’s a mindset. Don’t lose your shit. Your marbles. (It’s ok every once in a while; we are human.
Just don’t make it a habit. Mom.)

Lastly, basically driving the point home, my kiddos think I’m a tough bad- ass. Please don’t tell
them differently. (Remember, I do love Jesus, but alas.. I cuss a little…I do apologize.) My
youngest, Amelia, always asks me, “Mama, how are you so brave and never scared?” My response, “I do
get scared sweetie, but fear of the unknown is much worse. I’d rather face that fear head on verses

Amazing women raise amazing children. Fearful women raise fearful children. #Ouch
