All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake up in the day to

find it was vanity, but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.
T.E. Lawrence, Seven Pillars of Wisdom: A Triumph

Dream. It’s an absolute must. They do come true ya know.
Seriously. Are you a dreamer? Cue John Lennon…

You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us. And the world will live as one.

Dreamers by day. This is the ultimate goal Darlin’s. Most women have

“the plan”. What and how life is supposed to turn out. I’ll get married at age … Babies by …. but what most don’t realize is it’s in the #Dream that makes life worthwhile. The fantasy. The unknown. The mischief#BAM

Dream- a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person’s mind during sleep.

The above definition should apply during the day too don’t cha think? Actually don’t we all have thoughts and images during the day as well?  Oh, wait a minute that’s called “Day Dreaming” and looked down upon. Eye roll. Actually not an eye roll, that’s disrespectful. How about a sigh.

I’ve always been a little mischievous daydreamer. And now I’m just an older version. People judge. I laugh. Do you? Or do you get upset? I used to get upset. Past tense.

Sidebar – the minute you let judgement slide off your back like butta… The more carefree & happy you’ll be.

Haven’t you ever played the “what will I do w/ the millions after I win the lottery” game? My hubby and I used to play it all the time and end up giggling like two school girls. Wait. Actually, that was me. But he did willingly participate. We would lose ourselves actually Dreaming together. Making memories. Smile.

Guess what would happen afterwards? We were both in a good mood. Relishing in the moment. The only place to live Chickas. And that would be #ThePresent. It is a gift.

Your dreams do not need to be justified to anyone. But YOU get to manifest those dreams. #LikeABoss

Funny story…
I am hoping some of the gals of our #BAM group will remember the show “Deal or No Deal” by Howie Mandel. The models held closed briefcases w/ one case containing 1 million dollars, the ultimate prize. I used to watch this show each week with my children.

We had so much fun. On more than one occasion I would pick the correct briefcase, holding the grand prize. We would all laugh.

My son thought I was truly magic. I am. Wink.

Fast forward. My sister-in-law is getting married. It just so happens to be on a Saturday when deal or no deal was in town conducting an open casting call. There was a lull in the day before the wedding. My son Braden told me I should go try out. Hmmm… Ok.

And so I did. Why? Because I always dreamt about being on that show. Better question. Why the hell not? I drove out to the casino and was the last one in line.

I stood there and people watched. It was extremely hot. I discovered the naysayer voice creeping up in my head. I shut her down.
My turn. Wowza. Over an hour in line. The instructions were you have 30 seconds to tell us why you should be on Deal or no Deal. You will be videotaped. I entered a room with three people. One was standing behind the video camera.

I was not prepped nor ready. Shocker. Remember, I do fly by the seat of my pants. I proceed to bust out into a cheer. Making up a rhyme on the spot. I ended with a high kick. I’d say at least a 9.5 on a scale from 1-10.

We were all busting out laughing. I was happy. I have a new memory.

That evening the news covered the tryouts. Apparently over 7,000 people tried out that day. They were choosing 10 people for call backs the next day.

Sunday morning in Target with Amelia and the phone rings I smiled.

I just knew. I was correct. I was beyond giddy. I’d have to say I definitely beat the odds.

There is a second chapter to this story. I’ll leave you hanging in suspense.

Why am I even telling you this long drawn out story? Because I had a Dream. I’m not Martin Luther King. But we all have dreams.
And actually the pursuit of those dreams is where life takes place.
And amazing beautiful life. One whom embraces the journey.

Not the destination. Don’t lose sight how you get where you’re going and your side-kicks that journeyed with you along the way.

Action Item –

What’s your biggest dream you’ve ever had? I say go big, or go home.  We get to write them down Today. Why? We are all declaring our dreams today, knowing we can manifest them. And realizing it’s all about the journey. #BAM
