“When I examine myself and methods of thought, I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge.” ~Albert Einstein
I have to admit, I’m truly fascinated with unicorns, fantasy and make believe. There is something about unicorns. The myth speaks directly to my heart. For those of you who just started your challenge, I’m a teacher. An elementary school teacher. Wink.

My favorite book series are the Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis. If you haven’t read them, I highly recommend them. The tale about how the unicorns didn’t make it onto Noah’s Ark is intriguing.
“And all the world, oh Ham, may curse the hour when you were born; Because of you the Ark must sail without the Unicorn.” -The Last Battle

Watching children make-believe, pretend, and play warms your heart. The way they escape into whatever fantasy world they’ve created is like magic itself.
Children practice language skills within the context of pretend play. The more creative the child, the more creativethe adult. Makes sense right? What you don’t realize is, fantasy & imagination play a crucial part in your happiness. It is an absolute must.

“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life’s realities.” -Dr. Seuss

In order to have an Amazing Life, and be happy, you must be able to bend. To have a sense of humor. Not get too worked up over things out of your control. Laugh through the confusion and try to smile through the tears. Every storm shall pass. Will you bend in the storm or break? I dare you to bend. Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attraction. Fantasy is hardly an escape from reality, rather a way of understanding it.

A friend once told me I was delusional; I almost fell off my dragon. They said I lived in “LaLaLand”. Why the hell did they care anyway? Looking back, it’s quite funny. They were the ones angry, sad, and miserable. Me? I was genuinely happy, flying around on my Unicorn, Stella, minding my own business. Remember misery loves company. Miserable, unhappy people do not like being around happy. Around dancing. Around giggles. Around mischief. The Goal? Do not let those people trigger you, and stoop to their level. Walk away leaving a trail of fairy dust

Think About-

We are actual mirrors to everyone we come in contact with. What they portray says everything about them and absolutely nothing about you. I should repeat that.

We are a reflection of everyone we come in contact with. If someone says they don’t trust you. They, themselves, are not trustworthy. Get it? Your perception is your reality.

One time someone asked me how come I trusted everyone, that I was naive. I took it as a compliment and thanked her. She didn’t get it. I did. And that’s all that matters. Remember, our number one goal in this thing called Life, (cue Prince) is being your BEST version of yourself.

Period. And give others permission to do the same. #Empowerment
